About:

Athena was rescued from Kosciuszko National Park in June 2023, along with Flash (her colt), Brindabella, Callisto and Delilah.  She suffered a miscarriage shortly after she arrived and was in very poor condition. But with some medical attention and love, she has thrived and shown herself to be sweet, gentle and thoughtful.  Athena would like a kind and compassionate home in which she is showered with love.  Due to her health issues, Athena can’t be ridden but would make a beautiful companion horse.

Training:

Athena is halter trained and can be caught in the paddock, led forwards, backwards and on both sides confidently and tied up over the rail.  She has been groomed and bathed and had her front hooves trimmed and filed.

 

Health issues:

Athena has been paste-wormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Her teeth must be filed down regularly and she has weak back stifles.
