ABOUT

.Venus was a private surrender, and while Mountain Brumby Sanctuary does not usually take in private surrenders, once we saw this big chestnut mare we thought that we would be able to help her. 

​

She was trapped and sold to a lady who sent her to a trainer for handling.  While at the trainers, Venus lost her foal and was not coping with her situation.  Upon arrival at MBS, it was apparent that she was quite underweight, but a nice mare underneath her shyness. 

​

Venus has been turned out into one of our herd paddocks and is being allowed to just be a horse without any pressure being put on her.  This seems to be working for her as she is steadily gaining weight and settling into domestic life nicely.

Venus is currently available for Sponsorship and will be adopted in due course when she is ready.
